Wizard of Oz (Reimagined)
In honour of the 125th anniversary of the Wonderful Wizard of Oz Book by L. Frank Baum, along with the original story being in the public domain. I was inspired to create a story of my own using the original story & characters.

This section presents a series of character designs, reimagined in a near-future version of the world. In this interpretation, Dorothy inherits the throne after the Wizard’s death. Although she is initially celebrated as a hero, her power slowly distorts her sense of judgement. Nearly a decade into her rule, she has become authoritarian, ruling Oz through fear and strict control. Those who oppose her are silenced or imprisoned. Glinda, being the only one able to avoid capture, forms an underground resistance movement.

Dorothy, increasingly paranoid, reshapes familiar figures from the original story into living weapons, transforming friends and former allies into symbols of her control. The character designs shown here explore how these individuals have changed under her rule, reflecting the tension, corruption, and rebellion that now define Oz.
